Arizona Arts in Schools

WHAT WE DO

Bring arts to schools

Each Arizona Arts In Schools program includes:

  • 80 hours of on-site, university-quality instruction
  • Fully digital arts standards-based curriculum
  • In-school student performances and concerts by visiting artists
  • Training and certified professional development for school teachers

Bring schools to UA

We welcome students and their families to UA:

  • Access to UA Presents shows at Centennial Hall
  • Masterclasses with touring artists
  • On-campus performance opportunities for students

HOW IT WORKS

Through a partnership with the College of Fine Arts

  • School teachers attend workshops and co-teach with our instructors
  • Schools purchase their own instruments and equipment
  • After 2-3 years, schools are ready to continue their new arts program without us

By subsidizing fees for low-income students

Schools pay based on federal free/reduced lunch eligibility:

  • >80% of students eligible: FREE
  • 50-79% of students eligible: $1,500
  • <50% of students eligible: $3,000
