Arizona Arts in Schools
WHAT WE DO
Bring arts to schools
Each Arizona Arts In Schools program includes:
- 80 hours of on-site, university-quality instruction
- Fully digital arts standards-based curriculum
- In-school student performances and concerts by visiting artists
- Training and certified professional development for school teachers
Bring schools to UA
We welcome students and their families to UA:
- Access to UA Presents shows at Centennial Hall
- Masterclasses with touring artists
- On-campus performance opportunities for students
HOW IT WORKS
Through a partnership with the College of Fine Arts
- School teachers attend workshops and co-teach with our instructors
- Schools purchase their own instruments and equipment
- After 2-3 years, schools are ready to continue their new arts program without us
By subsidizing fees for low-income students
Schools pay based on federal free/reduced lunch eligibility:
- >80% of students eligible: FREE
- 50-79% of students eligible: $1,500
- <50% of students eligible: $3,000
